What You Say and How You Say it Matters!


Are you setting yourself up for failure or success? To answer this question, listen to the way you use your language...... Listen to how you talk to yourself.

For example:

Question:  What do you need to do this week to make it the most productive?

Answer:  I would like to schedule these appointments and try to get this report done by Friday.

What's wrong with this statement?  Do you notice the words chosen can actually set you up for failure?  They are giving you a way out.  Let's change a few of the words and notice how the answer changes the outcome.

Answer:  I am scheduling these appointments and I will finish this report by Friday.
