The moment you take responsibility for everything in your life is the moment you can change anything in your life. - Hal Elrod
Have you ever noticed how crowded the gym is right after New Year's? And then by Valentine's Day, you pretty much have the place to yourself?
While we'd like to think that everybody got in such good shape that their doctors told them they didn't need to exercise anymore, what's more likely is that they didn't have anybody calling them up after they skipped a spinning class - there was no one to hold them accountable.
Nothing is more important to achieving your goals than accountability. Without accountability we quickly fall back on old excuses and habits. And that 10 lbs. we wanted to lose in 2014 will become the 15 lbs. we want to lose in 2015.
No matter how you hold yourself accountable - through a person, group, or personal rating system - it means you are choosing to take responsibility for your life in order for change to happen. Choose to be in a good mood, choose to be kind and thoughtful - and then choose to have some means of accountability. And then watch your choices lead to big changes.
Go to bed closer to your goals than you were when you woke up. - Steve Jobs
