Everything on your list feels urgent. Here's why.
A free guide on the three reasons prioritizing is harder with ADHD, and what to do first. Written by Nikki Kinzer, PCC, ADHD coach and co-host of Taking Control: The ADHD Podcast.
You stare at the list. Everything on it is shouting at the same volume. Your brain does the thing it does to protect you, which is freeze, and then nothing gets picked at all.
Then comes the hard part: deciding that this is a you problem. That you're disorganized, or lazy, or bad at this in some way other people aren't.
You're not.
Something is happening, and it has nothing to do with your willpower. Most brains sort incoming information in the background without any effort at all. Urgent, can wait, someday. ADHD brains don't do that automatically, so everything arrives at the same volume and you become the filter, by hand, all day long.
No wonder deciding leaves you exhausted before you've started.
This guide walks through three reasons prioritizing feels impossible with ADHD. Not to fix you, and not to hand you another system to keep up with. It’s just here so you can see what's actually been in the way.
