124: Getting Motivated without a Deadline

We may complain about them — some of us may complain about them A LOT! — but deep down we know that at some level, deadlines help us to get motivated to finish things. It's simple calculus, really: when we know that others are counting on us to do what we say we're going to do, more often than not, we can get it done. But what about that list of tasks that don't come with natural nagging? It's the list of todos that you know you want to do, but with no one checking in, how do you get yourself motivated to dive in? This week on the show, Nikki Kinzer and Pete Wright take on the pesky topic of digging for stores of precious motivation, when we'd really rather hang out on the couch and eat something decadent!
