Before You Say Yes
A Holiday Permission List for ADHD Brains
The list in your head is getting longer.
The gifts. The hosting. The traditions. The invitations you’ll say yes to before you’ve checked your calendar.
A lot of holiday pressure hides in one little word: should. I should host again. I should bake the cookies. I should go to every party. They pile up quietly, and by December you’re running on empty, doing it all for everyone but yourself.
Here’s a question most of us never stop to ask: how much of that list is something you actually want?
What’s inside
A five-minute exercise to get every holiday “should” out of your head and onto paper. Then three questions to ask of each one:
Who is this for?
Does it bring me joy, or just pressure?
What would happen if I let it go, or did a smaller, simplified version?
You’ll sort your list into Keep, Simplify, or Let Go, and finish with a few questions to sit with. You can type right into the PDF or print it and use a pen.
There’s no right answer here, just a little more clarity and a lot less guilt.
