Joseph Kasprzyk is associate professor in the Civil Environmental and Architectural Engineering Department at the University of Colorado Boulder. He's also a member of our own ADHD community and has been for a number of years now. As I've gotten to know Joseph, I've discovered we have a number of over-lapping areas of interest. Music, tech, teaching, learning, the works. Somewhere along the way, we got to talking about Roam Research, a tool for connected note-taking and thinking, and the ecosystem of other tools like it.

It was that early conversation about Roam that brings us to today.

As an academic, researcher, and educator, I wanted to know how Joseph thinks about incoming signal, how he integrates new learning, and how he makes all of that an inclusive process for the students and peers with whom he works. And, can we learn a little bit about about how our technology impacts our micro-communities from the Amish? Here's the NPR story that's worth hearing when you have seven minutes.
