The 2024 ADHD De-Clutter Challenge

It’s time for our favorite clean-up game … and once again, we’re doing it together! Join your friends and partners from the ADHD community and tackle the clutter clogging your spaces this January.

What is it?
The challenge begins on January 1, 2024. Each day, we’ll work on removing the number of items that match the day of the month. Day one? That’s just one item. Day 20? Yeah, that’s 20 items.

Don’t worry, it’ll sound like a lot. But you’ll have support along the way. Read on for more, and sign up now. It’s time to take control of your clutter in 2024!

Join the Challenge!

The challenge is clear: We have too much clutter. Our job together in the month of January is to support one another as we de-clutter our spaces and make space to live, to think clearly, and to find peace. 

On January 1st, we’ll find one item to de-clutter. On the 2nd we need to remove two items. By the time we reach January 31, we will need to find 31 things to part with. If you complete the whole challenge, you will have removed a total of 496 pieces of clutter

There is no doubt about it: this challenge is a power move, an epic mountain to climb. But the results are equally epic when you look around your favorite spaces and remind yourself what makes them your favorite spaces in the first place. 

Live Events

We’ll hold two live events, one to kick off and one to wrap up. 

  • Getting Started: Sorting 101 with Nikki Kinzer
    Friday, January 5, 2024, 9:00 a.m. (PST) / 12:00 p.m. (EST)
    Nikki will share the mission for the month, explain the game, and help you define and set goals for your own de-cluttering efforts. You’ll learn key strategies for thinking about clutter, sorting, and organizing and get yourself set up for a successful month.

  • It’s A Wrap Live Webinar
    Wednesday, January 31, 2024, 9:00 a.m. (PST) / 12:00 p.m. (EST)
    This session is first about successes, about celebrating all you’ve done to reclaim the space in your home. And when the celebration is over, learn about maintaining organized and clutter-free spaces that work for you, whatever “organized and clutter-free” means in your life!

On-going Meet-ups and Work Sessions
Every Saturday in January: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (PST) / 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (EST) 

Every Saturday, Nikki will be hosting a 3-hour body-double session to work on the challenge live. And just to prove you’re not in this alone, she’ll be tackling the biggest space in her own home: the garage!

In every session:

  • Beginning of the hour, a quick review of goals for the session

  • Stop each hour to check in, ask questions, review work completed, set goals for the following hour

  • Last 15 minutes of the session: a final check-in and celebration of results and a job well done!


Online Community

Of course, we know that not all members will be able to commit to every Saturday’s work session, even as we hope you make it to as many sessions as you can! If you find your schedule allows you to do your de-cluttering throughout each week, join the De-Cluttering channel in our Discord community! All members of the challenge are invited to join Discord and post progress, pics, and prompts to help one another keep moving!
