Diagnosed—Now What?

So, you’ve just been diagnosed with ADHD.

How are you feeling?

Happy? Relieved? Upset? Confused?

Regardless of how you might feel, it can be a lot to find yourself diagnosed with ADHD.

Now that you have a diagnosis, there will be conversations about medication, therapy, and possibly coaching. All of this new information can feel a bit overwhelming and alienating.

However, I want you to know—you are not alone.

According to Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), 4.4% of adult Americans and 3.4% of adults worldwide have ADHD.

That means there are millions of adults, all over the world, that experience life a lot like you do!

While this knowledge won’t help you plan better or focus more clearly, it helps to know you aren’t the only one to go through something.

How can you connect with other ADHDers?

One place you can go to connect and support others with ADHD is by joining the Taking Control Discord server.

Discord is an online forum where you can chat with others on a bunch of different topics.

Our Discord server boasts almost 500 ADHDers that are ready to say ‘hello’ to you today!

Click here to join in on the conversation.

Thank you for your time and attention,

-Nikki
