Find a Little Help From Our Friends

Being a parent or a caregiver is hard work!

If you are now, or have ever been, a parent or caregiver, the above statement is probably not anything you don’t already know.

Plus, when you add some ADHD into the equation, it suddenly becomes a lot more complicated and challenging of a responsibility to navigate.

Whether you, as a parent or caregiver, have ADHD, your child has ADHD, or you have some combination where multiple people in your household have ADHD, it can feel like you are trying to thread the world's smallest needle....in the dark.

Where do you turn for help?

You may have tried confiding with other parents or friends in the past, but if they are unfamiliar with ADHD, you may find yourself left with unhelpful advice and or walking away with more questions than answers.

Maybe you have tried using the internet to search for help, or at least find someone who understands what you and your family experience with ADHD. With almost an infinite number of options at your fingertips, how are you supposed to know who to trust and who to give a pass?

We want to help!

While TCA does not focus or specialize in working with children or families, we have accumulated over a decade of experience connecting within the ADHD community. It has afforded us the opportunity to meet and work with many fantastic, talented, and well-respected people who are precisely the experts you want to hear from on the topic of children and families.

If you have come to trust TCA and what we provide to the ADHD community, I hope you might find our recommendations much more reassuring than just "taking a stab in the dark" with an internet search.

So, I have provided links to the people and organizations I have come to trust and rely on in the ADHD community, all of which have previously been guests on Taking Control: The ADHD Podcast. You can search for past guest appearances on The ADHD Podcast by using the orange magnifying glass located in the top, right-hand corner on any page of our website.

Please note: Take Control ADHD nor I receive compensation of any kind for the following recommendations. My only goal is to offer my support to you and others through these recommendations. With that said, you may feel free to share where you received your referral.

Being a parent and caregiver can be hard, but we don't have to do it alone. There are people and organizations out there that understand what you are going through and they are ready to help.

All you have to do is ask…

Thank you for your time and attention,

Nikki
