It's ADHD.....Now what?

Once you’ve been diagnosed, it’s time to learn how to live your best life with ADHD.

“I have ADHD...Now what?”

It’s common to feel overwhelmed and stuck after being diagnosed with ADHD.

The best way to combat these feelings is to educate yourself. They say “knowledge is power” and this is especially true when learning how to move forward after being diagnosed with ADHD.

A great place to start is by learning what ADHD is and how it affects you.

The Mayo Clinic explains it this way:

…attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a mental health disorder that includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior.

Once you learn to recognize certain behaviors as symptoms of your ADHD, you can start to find ways to work around your roadblocks and begin moving forward.

Where do I start?

One of the symptoms often associated with ADHD is difficulty starting something new. This can be associated with a feeling of overwhelm. If you’re not sure where to start, it’s a lot harder to find the motivation to begin at all.

Below is a list of suggestions and resources to help decrease the feeling of overwhelm and help you get started.
