Featured Series: Unique ADHD Strategies that Work - At least most of the time! - Part 3
Sometimes it can be difficult to find strategies that work.
This week we’re wrapping up our series on trusted ADHD strategies as shared by our listeners on Taking Control: The ADHD Podcast.
Here are a few of the ideas we heard about organization strategies as well as tips on managing medication:
Organization:
Color your world
In any situation it can be helpful to color code your work. Assigning different colored pens, stickers, or paper to specific projects or ideas can help you easily find what you’re looking for when you need it.
Stay in Command™
(A tip from our very own, Pete Wright) “I’m constantly blown away at how handy Command™ Strips are. From tools to equipment, I can keep things organized with reduced friction, and maintain a line of sight to everything so I can find what I need when I need it!”
Medication Management:
Empty Reminders
When you notice you’re running low on medication, leave the medication bottle out in plain sight as a reminder to reorder your medication before you run out.
There’s an app for that
One listener suggested the app Medisafe (Android and iOS) to help keep track of taking medication. The app includes specialized reminders and notifications to take each medication and even helps you keep track of when you need to order a refill.
Pete and I are truly grateful for all of the submissions we received from listeners on the topic of ADHD strategies. The tips I mentioned above are only a few of the strategies we discuss in part three as we wrap up our series, Unique ADHD Strategies That Work - At least most of the time!
