Have Fun Getting Things Done
There’s more than one way to get things done.
In fact, there is a never-ending supply of suggestions on how to best get things done every day, especially if you have ADHD.
While not every method works well for everyone, I’ve found that using the Pomodoro Technique in my ADHD Study Halls has been a great tool for a lot of different people in different situations.
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique is a simple tool to measure time while completing what needs done.
Begin by choosing a task you want to complete. Set a timer for 25 minutes and begin working. After the timer goes off, allow yourself a 5-minute break from your work before you begin another 25-minute work session.
Traditionally, Pomodoro sessions are four sets of 25-minute work sessions separated by 5-minute breaks. After the fourth Pomodoro, allow yourself a longer break (roughly 30 minutes).
It really works!
There are plenty of benefits to using the Pomodoro Technique on your projects:
Learn to focus on one task at a time
Practice self-care with built-in breaks
Learn how long it takes to complete projects
Finally get things done!
What others are saying
I have been using the Pomodoro Technique in my ADHD Study Halls and the positive feedback speaks for itself:
“Thanks Nikki! That was the most productive I’ve been in weeks. Responded to several work emails I’d been putting off, finished my work and personal to-do lists and registered for 5 seminars. Much less stressed!”
“You helped me be more successful than I would have been without you.”
“The group has been great and the weekly opportunity has really helped me get proactive in considering which items of importance I can bring to work on.”
“Just wanted to let you know that this STUDY HALL thing is totally unique and is incredibly helpful for my productivity!”
Those are only a few of the many things people have been saying about attending the ADHD Study Hall sessions. Utilizing body doubling and the Pomodoro Technique has been invaluable to so many people!
