What To Do When You Reach Your Goals
Taking Control: The ADHD Podcast has reached 500 episodes!
I can’t believe it!
Over the past 11 years, Pete and I have continued to put out this podcast that so many of you have listened to and supported. I could not be more thankful to all our listeners for helping us reach this amazing milestone.
Reaching such a crazy milestone has got me thinking about reaching goals in general and what we do to celebrate them.
Very often we focus on what we haven’t gotten done, or what we have yet to do, and we forget to take time to celebrate the things we do right and the things we have gotten done.
It’s important to take time, even if it’s just a moment, to celebrate when we accomplish something. The bigger the goal reached, the bigger the celebration can be!
Here are a few things you can do to celebrate your accomplishments:
Write down your accomplishment and how you felt about it. Save it for later when you’re feeling down about everything you need to do.
Plan a hang out with a friend.
Take a break and focus on a favorite hobby.
Share your accomplishment with a friend or colleague.
Whatever you do to celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how big or how small, it’s important to focus on the things you’ve completed.
Congratulations to you and your accomplishments!
Thank you for your time and attention,
-Nikki
